Prompt

Make a morse code translator that works both ways. Make it a single HTML file that opens in a browser with nothing to install and no other files. Put the CSS and JavaScript inside it. Do not use image files or any external address; use emoji or letters if you need a symbol.

Two boxes. Typing in one fills the other as I type. Use dots and dashes, a space between letters, and a slash between words.

Add a play button that beeps the morse out loud with the browser's own sound — short beep for a dot, three times longer for a dash, with proper gaps. Hearing it is half of learning it.

Show the full letter and number chart below, so I can look up anything by eye.

Leave characters you do not know alone rather than dropping them, and say which ones were skipped.

When you are done, translate something to morse and back and check you get the original text.

What it uses: One file only · Say what it is first · Decide what shows · Give an example

If the beeps run together, ask it to "leave a gap of one dot between symbols and three between letters".
