Prompt

Make a reaction time test. Make it a single HTML file that opens in a browser with nothing to install and no other files. Put the CSS and JavaScript inside it. Do not use image files or any external address; use emoji or letters if you need a symbol.

Fill the screen with one colour and the words "wait for green". After a random delay between two and six seconds, turn it green. I click as soon as I see it, and you show how many milliseconds it took.

Do 5 rounds and then show my best, worst, and average.

If I click before it turns green, say "too early" and start that round over. That is the whole point of the test, so do not let an early click count as a fast one.

When you are done, click early on purpose and check it is not recorded as a score.

What it uses: One file only · Say what it is first · Decide what shows · Pin down what not to do

If the delay feels the same every time, ask it to "make the wait genuinely random each round".
